Summary
Airbik is a marketplace for booking storage space. This Policy describes (1) items that are prohibited from being stored using the Platform, and (2) conduct that is prohibited when using the Platform. This Policy is incorporated into the Airbik Terms of Service.
- Do not store anything illegal, dangerous, or that could harm people or property.
- Follow Host rules and laws, and treat others respectfully.
- Violations may result in cancellation, removal of content, suspension, or reporting to authorities.

- "Host" means the person listing the space (Lister).
- "Renter" means the person booking the space.
- "Space" means the storage area offered by a Host (garage, driveway, unit, or similar).
- "Stored Items" means any property brought to or kept at a Space.
- "Host Rules" means listing-specific rules published by the Host.
2. Prohibited Items Not Allowed
The following items are prohibited and may not be stored, listed, or brought to a Space through Airbik. This list is not exhaustive. Hosts may impose additional restrictions in their Host Rules.
2.1 Illegal or regulated items
- Stolen property, contraband, or items obtained unlawfully.
- Illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia intended for illegal use.
- Items stored in violation of any federal, state, or local law, regulation, HOA rule, or lease restriction.
2.2 Dangerous, hazardous, or explosive materials
- Explosives, fireworks, ammunition, black powder, detonators, or similar items.
- Flammable liquids and fuels (including gasoline, propane tanks, butane, kerosene), and large quantities of combustibles.
- Hazardous chemicals, toxic substances, pesticides, acids, solvents, pressurized cylinders (except as explicitly allowed by Host Rules).
- Radioactive materials, biohazards, medical sharps waste, or infectious materials.
2.3 Weapons
- Firearms, firearm parts, suppressors, ghost gun components, and ammunition.
- Any weapon or item intended to cause bodily harm (including weaponized replicas), except where explicitly permitted by law and Host Rules (and even then Airbik may disallow).
2.4 Perishables, animals, or living things
- Food, perishables, or items that can rot/spoil, attract pests, or create odors.
- Live animals, plants requiring care, or any living thing.
2.5 Items that create unreasonable risk or nuisance
- Items that leak, smell, mold, attract pests, or damage floors/walls (e.g., unsealed trash, wet materials).
- Items that require special temperature control unless the Host explicitly offers such conditions.
- Items that violate weight limits or structural limits of the Space.
2.6 Highly valuable or sensitive items (store at your own risk elsewhere)
- Cash, bullion, gemstones, rare collectibles, negotiable instruments, or high-value valuables.
- Personal identification documents or sensitive data in unsecured form (e.g., passports, SSN documents) unless strictly necessary and properly secured.
3. Restricted Items Host Approval Required
Some items may be allowed only if the Host explicitly permits them in the listing's Host Rules or approves them in writing via Airbik messaging. Examples may include:
- Vehicle-related storage (tires, parts, motorcycles) subject to local rules and Host restrictions.
- Battery-powered devices or equipment that may pose a fire risk, subject to safe handling requirements.
- Commercial inventory or business goods, subject to zoning/HOA/lease restrictions and Host agreement.
- Large furniture or bulky items requiring special access arrangements.
Hosts can always say "no" to restricted items. Renters must disclose what they plan to store if asked.
4. Packaging, Safety & Cleanliness
Renters must store items in a safe, clean manner and follow the Host Rules. At minimum:
- Items must be dry, sealed, and reasonably clean, with no active leaks or odors.
- Items must be packaged to prevent damage to the Space and other property.
- Items must not block exits, access paths, or create trip/fire hazards.
- Renters must not exceed any published size/weight limits.
Hosts may set listing-specific rules
Examples: boxed-only storage, pallet requirements, labeling, appointment-only access, hours of access, stacking limits, etc.
Failure to comply
May result in cancellation, removal requirements, fees as allowed by Terms and law, and account action.
5. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not engage in conduct that harms others, the Platform, or a Host's property. Prohibited conduct includes:
- Fraud or deception: misrepresenting identity, listings, availability, pricing, or stored items.
- Off-platform circumvention: attempting to avoid fees by moving payments, deposits, or communications off the Platform when prohibited by Terms.
- Property misuse: damaging, altering, or using the Space for non-storage activities without permission.
- Unauthorized access: entering a Space without permission, outside agreed times, or beyond agreed areas.
- Safety violations: reckless behavior, unsafe loading/unloading, or creating hazards.
- Discrimination or harassment: harassment, hate, threats, stalking, or abusive behavior toward any person.
- Spam and abuse: spamming messages, scraping listings, or interfering with Platform operations.
- Security abuse: introducing malware, probing vulnerabilities, or attempting to bypass access controls.
6. Photos, Privacy & Harassment
Airbik profile photos and listing photos are provided for booking-related use on the Platform. Users must not:
- Copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish, sell, or distribute other users' photos.
- Use photos to harass, threaten, discriminate, doxx, impersonate, or stalk someone.
- Record or photograph inside a Host's property without permission, where prohibited by law or Host Rules.
7. Enforcement & Consequences
If Airbik believes a user has violated this Policy, Airbik may take actions consistent with the Terms of Service, including:
- Remove or hide listings/content
- Cancel bookings
- Issue warnings
- Restrict features
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Report unlawful activity to law enforcement where appropriate
Airbik may also take action to protect user safety, even if the situation is not fully resolved between parties.
8. Reporting Violations
If you believe a listing, item, or user activity violates this Policy or presents a safety risk, contact Airbik support. If there is an immediate threat or emergency, contact local emergency services first.
